MAUDE AIKINS HARPER
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Maude Aikins Harper at the Methodist Church with Rev. R. H. Lingard and W. N. Wallis officiating. With Mrs. Roland Finkner at the organ Mrs. Byford Metzger and Mrs. Rex Crom sang "Precious Lord Take My Hand," and "Sweet By and By."
Burial was in the Pawnee City cemetery and the pallbearers were Elmer Witte, Claude Barker, Ross Barr, Ralph Marshall, Charles Tracy and Cecil Davis.
Mrs. Verna Pinkerton and Mrs. Gladys Davis were the flower ladies.
Maude Aikins was born on a farm in Pawnee Count on March 27, 1882 and passed away at the Westgate Convalescent Home in Madora, Calif. on May 3, 1967. Maude spent most of her life on the farm, but for the last 20 years she had lived In California.
In 1947 she was united in marriage to Arthur Harper. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Pawnee City and was always a faithful attendant and worker as long as she resided here. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Ruth Reynolds and other relatives and friends.
