Orren Snyder is the son of John and Leotta Best Snyder, and the brother of John, Blanche and Marie Snyder.
He attended the Monrovia school and Effingham High School. He was inducted into the Army the 20th of April 1942, (37158532 Registered, order # 2152 Atchison, Atchison Co. Board # 1.)
Orren Snyder wed Emma Jo Evans of Wathena Kansas in 1946.
Orren is the great grandson of S. J. H. Snyder, founder of Monrovia Kansas.

Orren G. Snyder
Orren G. Snyder, 71, of 2808 Collin St., Independence, died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Monrovia, Kan., and had lived in this area since 1946. Mr. Snyder was a welder for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 32 years until he retired in 1968. He was a Methodist. He was an Army Air force veteran, World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Emma Jo Snyder of the home; a brother, John Snyder, San Antonio, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Helen M. Freeman, Hutchinson, Kan. Service will be at the Ott & Mitchell Chapel; graveside services at 2 p.m. Monday in the Monrovia Cemetery.
