Thomas William Barber was born in Morgan County, Missouri, February 17, 1866. He lived there until he reached the age of 21 years, moving to Indian Territory with his parents in the year of 1877.
Mr. Barber departed this life on September 25, 1938 at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 7 days.
He was united in marriage with Miss Cora Kollar, October 26, 1890. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife and five children: Mrs. Blanche Blundell of Crawford, Oklahoma; Mrs. Maud Hicks, of Houston, Texas; Mrs. Vauda Brown, of Odessa, Texas; Mr. Claud Barber of Mooreland, Oklahoma; Mr. Frank Barber, of Crawford, Oklahoma; Wilburn Barber who died in infancy; two sisters and one brother: Mr. Charles Barber of Bishop, Oklahoma; Mrs. Myrtle Barbour of Fairland, Oklahoma; Mrs. Dine Bowman, of Bernice, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mr. Barber with his family moved to Roger Mills County in 1900 and has lived there since.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Pie Flat Cemetery, with Rev. J.W. Carlson, pastor of the Baptist church at Cheyenne, delivering the sermon. The Tunnard Funeral Home, Cheyenne, was in charge.
