EL PASO - Pinkie Evelyn Shoemaker, 80, of Heritage Manor of El Paso, died at 1:42 a.m. Friday (Dec. 27, 1996) at the manor. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, the Rev. Kenneth Barth officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Shoemaker Sr., El Paso; one daughter, Patricia Youngken, Bloomington; two sons, Charles Shoemaker Jr., Towanda; and Gary Shoemaker, Seabring, Fla.; two brothers, Albert and Frank Ales, both of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

She was born April 2, 1916 at Keensburg, the daughter of Oliver T. and Katie Reever Ales. She married Charles M. Shoemaker Sr. on Dec. 24, 1936 at Eureka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son; one brother; three sisters; and one grandson.

Mrs. Shoemaker was a member of the Nazarene Church of El Paso.
