Samuel Coburn Funeral Services were held at Woods Mortuary in Golden, June 5th at 2 p.m. for Samuel Coburn, 79, of 900-10th st. Mr. Coburn was born in Saline County, Kansas, near Salina, on February 18, 1888, being one of six children. He grew to manhood in that area, where he met and was married to Alice Fulton, on September 14, 1911. To this union, six children were born, four of whom have predeceased him in death, three as infants and a son Clifford, at the age of 24. Mr. Coburn farmed while in Saline County until 1943 , where for a year the Coburns lived in California, before coming to Golden, Colo, to reside. Mr. Coburn was employed at the elementary school as a Custodian until his retirement in 1955. In 1961, Mr. and Mrs. Coburn celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their home
which was attended by many relatives and friends. Mr. Coburn took great pride in his lovely yard, but failing health limited his participation in such work. Mr. Coburn died early Saturday morning, June 3,1967. Surviving are his wife, Alice, one daughter, Eunice, of Golden; a son, Gayle of Colorado Springs; three grand-children and two great-great grandchildren.
