Former Miss Huffman Of Elkton Passes Away At Home Of H.B.C. Gentry - Native of Page County

Elkton, July 26 - Mrs. Rebecca Carrier, widow of Wilson Carrier, died this morning at 12:40 o'clock at the home of her son-in-law, H.B.C. Gentry, two miles northwest of Elkton, after an illness of six months of the infirmities of age.

Mrs. Carrier was born in Page County, January 24, 1838, and was therefore seventy-nine years, six months, and twelve days. She was Miss Rebecca Huffman, daughter of the late Ambrose Huffman.

Surviving her are three daughters, and one son - Mrs. Ida Chisholm and Mrs. Gentry, of near Elkton; Mrs. W. H. Pence, of Hagerstown, Md.; and Carlis Carrier, of St. Marys, W. Va. All of them were present when their mother died. She was a member of the United Brethren Church.

The funeral will be held from the home of Mr. Gentry tomorrow. Interment will be in Huffman burial grounds on Naked Creek. Rev. C. L. Potter, of the Elkton United Methodist Church, will conduct the service.
