The Clark County Sun - Feb. 12, 1943

Henry Burgy Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Knapp's funeral home for Henry Burgy, 75, of 401 E. 18th street, Vancouver, who died last Thursday at his home. A resident of Vancouver all of his life: he was a retired policeman; having served on the Vancouver force for 33 years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Viola Sharp and the widow Bertha, both of Vancouver, Chief of police John Blaker, Captain Barry Raguse, Sergeant Fred Rafferty and Patrolman Wood, Thibodeaux, Barney were honorary pallbearers having all served with Mr. Burgy during his work with the Vancouver Police force. Internment was in the City Cemetery.

Henry and Bertha were married on November 25, 1890 by a Justice of the Peace in Vancouver, Clarke county Washington. Note spelling of county at the time. Used what was on the document.
