W.J. Jeffreys Dies Today

William Jackson Jeffreys, 78, Town Creek, Route 1, died at Colbert County Hospital at 4:15 a.m. today after an illness of several years.

He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company since 1951, and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lawrence County with burial in Lawrence cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Jeffreys,; two brothers, John M. and A.A. Jeffreys, both of Town Creek, Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Masterson, and Mrs. John Parvin, both of Town Creek, Route 1; and a number of neices and nephews.

Active bearers will be W.E. Jeffreys, Clarence Jeffreys, Jack Jeffreys, Floyd I. Landers, Herbert Bradford, Ted Bradford, Kyle Masterson and William Masterson.

The body will be at the home of John Parvin until time for the service.
