Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Valley Grove Baptist church for Monroe Jackson Jeffreys, age 75, a retired Leighton farmer, who died unexpectedly at the Colbert County Hospital Thursday night, although he had been in ill health for several months.
Rev. Otho Matchen, pastor, will officiate and burial will follow in the Hardshell Cemetery with Brown-Service, Tuscumbia, directing, and members of Masonic Lodge No. 361, Town Creek, serving as active pallbearers.
