FUNERAL SERVICES HELD HERE WEDNESDAY FOR MINNIE E. ELLIS
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Sutphen Funeral Home for Mrs. Minnie E. Ellis, 74, of Villisca, who died Monday at the Municipal Hospital in Clarinda. The Rev. F. W. Thompson conducted the services. Pall bearers were Kay Wheeler, Jay Wheeler, Geo. Higgins, John Holdren, Walter Mathael, and Russell Winter, and music was by Mrs. Maude Scott, and Mrs. Grace Nordyke. Interment was in the Arlington Cemetery.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Mullen, and she was born on October 11, 1867, at Rochelle, Illinois. She came to Iowa in 1877 and lived near Villisca, marrying Archie Ellis on October 9, 1892. Two children were born to them, one dying in infancy and the other, MRs. Nathan Years, is now living at Yorktown, Iowa. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Yearous and her husband Nathan, and their three children, four brother, John, Charlie, Frank, and Rob, and a sister, Mrs. Carr Raney, all of Villisca.
