Diedrich Radensleben, one of the oldest and best known citizens of Green precinct, died suddenly of heart failure while in Wahoo, shortly after five o'clock last Saturday evening. Mr. Radensleben was born in Germany December 30, 1846 and has been a resident of Green precinct for nearly forty years. The funeral took place at the Lutheran church near his home and was attended by a large concourse of old neighbors and friends. Interment at the German Lutheran Cemetery.

Dederick married Ana Maria Margaretha Niedfeld on 7 May 1876, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin. To this union were born: Johann Dietrich, William, Fred, Anna Dorthea, Edward Henry, Emma Karoline Marie, Dora Johanna Louisa, Ida, Twins, Henry, Diedrich Fredrick William "Dick", and Anna Wilhelmina Dorthea Radensleben.
