Mrs. Oline Knudson 71 of Denver, Died Friday, April 27 at Colorado General Hospital, the death being due severe stomach hemorrhage. She had been declining health for the past year but she became acutely ill only the fore part of the last week and was taken to the hospital on Thursday.
She was born to Ole and Martha Bratton , Jan. 9, 1878 at Waseca Minn. and she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith as a child. She remained a firm follower of this belief all her life and had been a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Denver since 1921.
She married Carl O. Knudson at the age of 21 on March 22, 1899 Mr. Knudson preceded her in death April 26 1920.
They came to Colorado with there family Dec. 7 1907 and settled on a homestead 10 miles north of Genoa, where she lived until March of 1921, when she moved with her children to Denver. She She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs August Drier in Denver for the past 11 1/2 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nora Drier, Englewood; Mrs. Ella Drier and Mrs Mabel Valko, Denver, and four sons Oscar, Phoenix, Ariz., Clarence, Genoa: Bernhard, Denver and Albert, Phoenix Ariz. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, as well as by two brothers, Severt of Canada, and Albert, Limon, and a sister Minnie Hagen of Washington.
Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran church north of Genoa with the Rev. Alvon A Nelson, of Denver officiating.
"The Old Rugged Cross" and "Nearer My God To Thee" were Sung by three granddaughter Elaine ant Oneita and Sylvia Knudson, all of Denver.
Casket bearers were six grandsons, Arnold Dreier, Carlyle Knutson, Alvin Knutson, Marvin Van Campen, Howard Dreier and Delmar Martin. Burial was in Christ Lutheran Cemetery with the Buchanan Funeral Home of Limon in charge of all arrangements.
