Obituary: North Augusta, SC—Funeral Services for Mrs. Jean Strayhorn Baynham, 87, of West Forest Ave., North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest August 6, 2010, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from Posey Funeral Chapel. Dr. Gary C. Redding officiating. Interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Baynham was a native of Wilson, North Carolina having made North Augusta her home for the past 64 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta and the Lou Jolly Sunday School Class. Mrs. Baynham was the wife of the late Roy W. Baynham and mother of the late Byron Baynham.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Tommy Williams and Susan and Charles Bailey, all of North Augusta; a daughter-in-law, Marvis Baynham, North Augusta; 8 grandchildren, Michael Helms, Amy Helms, Tyler Harrelson, Blake Bailey, Brannon Bailey, Beth Bailey, Britt Baynham and Scott Baynham; three great-grandchildren, Angelica Helms and Christian McCrickard and Savannah Baynham.
Pallbearers will be Britt Baynham, Scott Baynham, Larry Baynham, Robert Baynham, Ned Baynham and Craig Baynham.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8.
