Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Simpson Sandlin, 75, of 701 9th St. SE, who died Tuesday night at a local rest home, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. James O. Bodley officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery, Guntharp Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Phillips of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Sue S. George of Birmingham; Mrs. Margaret Fry of Birmingham; four step-sons, John E. Sandlin of Decatur; Charles D. Sandlin of Decatur; E.G. Sandlin of Decatur; Marshall W. Sandlin of Decatur; two step-daughters, Mrs. Edwin Bean of Decatur; Mrs. George Collier of Decatur.
Donnie Collier, Charlie Sandlin Jr, Johnny Sandlin Jr, Pat Fry, Richard George and Bill Bunt will be pallbearers.
