Mr. David Maddox, in his 40th year, entered into rest at 5 p.m. Monday, December 21, 1925, at 2840 Walton Way, Augusta, Georgia. He and his son, James Maddox Jr., were en route to his home in a wagon, which is about eight miles from Augusta on Wheeler Road. He had been in the city selling holly for Christmas decorations. Funeral services will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Robert Keel, pastor of Marks Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Maddox Family Cemetery. Mr. Maddox is survived by one son, James Maddox; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Cliatt and Mrs. David Widener, all of Richmond County. Elliott Sons.
