His brother, Air Mechanic First Class Howard Eugene BELFORD, also served; he died on 16 July 1918 and was laid to rest in the Prospect Cemetery, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Elmer Henry Belford of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan was KIA at Vis-en-Artois, France. Elmer was working as a drug clerk when he enlisted at Moose Jaw a couple of days after his 18th birthday early in 1917.
