Mrs. Howard Dies at Duncan Avenue Home

Mrs. Zuleika Nelson Howard, widow of W.W. Howard and for 30 years a resident of 592 Duncan avenue, died last night at her home after an illness of several weeks.

The daughter of the late Martin J. Nelson and Matilda Murray Nelson, pioneer residents of Houston county, Mrs. Howard was born in August 1869 near Perry. She received her education at Perry and came to Macon when she was married and lived the rest of her life here.

She had been a member of the Centenary Methodist church since coming to Macon.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Howard Smith of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Howard Harrison of Cordele; four sons, N. Ralph Howard of Macon; Joe W. Howard of Alexandra, Va., and Nelson J. Howard of Charleston, S.C., two sisters, Mrs. G.L. Stripling and Mrs. G.T. Rodgers of Macon; one brother, N.J. Nelson of Hawkinsville, Ga. and several grandchildren.

Arrangements for the funeral will be announced by Burghard-Connally.
