From "Kindred Murrays" by Alton J Murray, printed by "The Southeast Geogian", of Kingsland, GA., 1981 p.55 her parents are Ezekiel Murray (1801- Sept 15, 1851) and Matilda Hand (daughter of Charity Thompson and Henry Hand.) of Houston Co., GA
This book is out of print , the printer out of business and the author dead. A copy is is some libraries and also on the internet. Mr Murray's research is born out by the 1850 census of Houston County.
Matilda's first name was Katherine, and Mr. Alton Murray gives marriage as Oct 15, 1868 to Martin Jenkins Nelson. in the chart of children on page 55.

From family sources, Katherine Matilda Murray was the daughter of Ezekiel Murray (9 Sept 1801 Burke Co, Ga- 15 Sept 1852 Houston Co., GA) and his wife Matilda Hand ( 1813/14 Screven Co, GA, died ? in Houston Co.) Matilda was daugher of Henry Harrison Hand III and Charity Thompson. Ezekiel Murray (1801-1851) was son of Stephen Murray and Mary White (burials unknown.)
Katherine's siblings were Stephen J. Murray born about 1830, Carolina Elizabeth Murray Fulwood (1832-1906 Tift Co, Ga), Isaac Luck Murray also Tift County, Mary Murray, born about 1841, Ezekiel J. Murray (1843- 25 May 1864 Spotsylvania, VA died in Civil War.)
