BUCKLEY, WALTER. Private. No 202574. 1st Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers. Born Huddersfield. Brother of Mr L Buckley, 45 Scholes Road, Birkby. Lived 18 Little Carr Green, Dalton. Employed as a tenter by Messrs Edwin Walker and Company Limited, Field Mills, Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Was a violinist in the Huddersfield String Orchestra. Died of wounds, 16.9.1918, aged 21.
Buried ABBEVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 4, Row F, Grave 3. ROH:- St. Andrew's Church, Huddersfield; Christ Church, Moldgreen.
