Death claimed Mrs. Gillie Lu Wagner, 76, At 6:30 Tuesday evening (May 13) at her home 323 S. Delphine Ave. Waynesboro. She was the widow of the late Odie Wagner and was born in Sherando, daughter of William Silas Baber and Annie Butler Baber.
Body will lie in state at the home of a daughter, Mrs. C. L. Padgett 148 S. Delphine Ave. until the hour of the funeral, services being scheduled for 2 o'clock tomorrow (Thursday) Afternoon in the Etter Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. C. F. Moseley, pastor of Basic Methodist Church, will have charge of the services. Interment will be at Riverview.
Pallbearers announced this afternoon were Carrington McGann, Ralph Swartz, George Romick, Bob Wash, Boon Garrett, Charles Echols, Elmer Newcomb, Chas. L. Harman, J. W. Myers, and R. A. Berry.
The deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C. L. Padgett, Waynesboro; Mrs. Dessie Newcomb, Richmond; and Mrs. Mattie Schuler, Newark, N. J. Also five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. J. S. Climenson, Baltimore; Mrs. Solon Hyden, Sherando; and Mrs. G. C. Hall, Waynesboro; and one brother, E. B. Baber of Waynesboro also survive.
