JACOB "JAKE" GREENWALD 1903-1993
Jake Greenwald, 89, of Fort Collins, died Monday, July 19, 1993, at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Reager Funeral Home with the elder Toxey King officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Reager Funeral Home.
Jake Greenwald was born Oct. 1, 1903, in Frank, Russia, to Jacob Greenwald and Anna Marie Koehler, both deceased.
He married his first wife, Mary Ring, in 1926. She preceded him in death in 1956.
On May 22, 1959 he married Virginia A. Ellis in Fort Collins.
He had spent most of his life in Fort Collins and was employed as an equipment operator for Ideal Cement plant. He enjoyed fishing in his free time.
Mr. Greenwald was a member of the German Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Greenwald of Fort Collins: two sons, Harold R. and David L. Greenwald , both of Denver; a daughter, Shirley Gabriel of Fort Collins; one step-son, Norman Lesser of Orange, Calif.; four sisters, Marie Vanmark of Fort Collins, Lydia Bener of Russell, Kan., Esther Ekstein of Yreka, Calif., and Carolyn Johnson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
