Old Captain was the son of Clement Riney & Elizabeth Ann Gates. He was born about 4 December 1824. Old Captain married America Jane Livers on 4 January 1848 & they had 3 children. He married Harriet Frances O'Bryan on 1 March 1859 & they had 8 children. Old Captain & his family moved from Washington Co KY to Daviess Co in 1863.
