GIBBON — Funeral services for Glenn V. Carlson, 57, of Gibbon, who died Wednesday, April 22. 1992, at his home, were held on Monday, April 27, 1992, at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Diane of Gibbon; mother, Viola of Gibbon; daughter, Jackie Fuller of Lawton, Oklahoma; sons and their wives Randy and Edith of Hutchinson, Brent and Pattie of New Ulm, Darin and fiancee Sharon Tetrick of Clements, Ross of North Mankato; five grandchildren; and Sister, Gloria (Mrs. John) Norlinger of Shoreview.

He was preceded in death by his father, Philip, in November 1973.

He was horn Oct. 14, 1934, in Gibbon, to Philip and Viola (Carlson) Carlson. He graduated from Gibbon High School in 1953. He attended the University of Minnesota College of Agriculture in St. Paul for two years. He married Diane Christensen on Sept. 24, 1960 at the First Lutheran Church in Winthrop. After marriage, they lived in Gibbon for seven years when they moved onto the farm of his parents, where they lived until May 1991. He was a farmer and a truck driver for Herb Hopp Trucking. He retired in August, 1990 because of failing health. He was a member of A.A.L. and was its treasurer and secretary for two years. He was also a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, a past member of the Augustana Church Council and the Augustana Lutheran Cemetery Board.
