GIBBON — Viola M. Carlson, 84, of 1144 Adams Ave., Gibbon, died Saturday, April 23, 1994, at Lyngblomston Care Center, St. Paul.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clear Lake Baptist Church, rural Gibbon, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, Gibbon, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
She is survived by daughter, Gloria Norlinger and her husband, John of Shoreview; daughter-in-law, Diane Carlson of Gibbon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Huston of Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip on Nov. 25, 1973; son, Glenn Carlson on April 22, 1992.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1909, in Buffalo, to Charles and Amy (Hanson) Carlson; She married Phillip Carlson on Aug. 16, 1931, in Buffalo. After marriage they farmed in Severance Township, Sibley County, until retiring and moving to Gibbon in 1968. She later worked at Goodmans Produce and at Hands Inc. in Winthrop. She was an active member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church.
