Edward "Lee" Damrell was the youngest son of William Edward and Louisa Belle Thomas Damrell. He was born in Paint Lick Kentucky, but his family moved to Indiana in 1897. He married Alberta Hazel Knight on November 1, 1916. To this couple was born 4 children, Edward Jr., William, Jack and Martha.
Note: Lee was the first family historian. I remember him coming to my grandmother's house in the early 1960's. He was intrigued by my mother ( his first cousin once removed ) marrying my father ( his first cousin once removed ) therefore my brother and I were his double first cousins twice removed. After his death, his granddaughter, Joanie let me copy his notes of the family tree and they have proved to be invaluable.
