Rites Held For Mabel Folsom
Mabel Cora Harris, daughter of George and Sarah Ellen Laughlin, was born near Postville, Iowa on November 20, 1890, the youngest of six children.
She passed away suddenly on June 18, 1964, at her home in Decorah.
She was united in marriage to Richard Folsom on January 11, 1911, at Postville, Iowa. Three children were born to this union.
Mrs. Folsom is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lester (Nina) Jagerson of Decorah, one son, Donald Folsom of Postville, a sister, Mrs. Arthur Swenson of Postville, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. A daughter, Thelma, passed away in infancy.
In early life she became a member of the United Brethren Church of Bethel.
Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home on Sunday, June 21, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Minert Cemetery.
