Death of Wm Rencher
Mr. William Rencher, aged 59, died suddenly of apoplexy at the State Insane Asylum here yesterday morning. Mr Rencher is the son of the late William* Rencher, who served as United States minister at the court of Spain* and afterwards Governor of New Mexico. Mr Rencher was at one time a wealthy London cotton merchant. Failing health impaired his mind and yesterday the inevitable came yesterday morning.
Mr. Rencher leaves a brother, Mr. John Rencher of Pittsboro, a sister Mrs Latham B* Anderson of New York and his aged mother, Mrs. Louisa Rencher of Pittsboro. The deceased was a relative of Mr. Spier Whitaker of this city. The remains will be taken to Pittsboro for interment this afternoon under the charge of Mr. Percy Whitaker.

Several errors appear in this obituary. His father was Abraham Rencher (not William Rencher) who was minister to Portugal (not Spain). His sister was Mrs. Allen Latham Anderson (not Mrs. Latham B Anderson) the former Sarah Douglas Rencher.
