Vada C. Lacy, 86, formerly of 1118 Dallas St. in Port Neches, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday in the Golden Triangle Convalescent Center. A native of Newton County, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Neches and had lived in the Mid-County area since 1924. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Pat Riley Funeral Chapel, with burial at 5 p.m. in the Friendship Cemetery near Roganville, Texas. She is survived by two sons, Samuel M. Lacy, Port Neches, and Wilmer M. Lacy, Weatherford; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Higgins, Groves; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Truitt, Port Arthur; one brother, Louis Griner, Port Arthur; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
