"Aaron Van Gorder came from Sussex county, NJ in 1819, and settled in Tioga, near Smithboro. He married Sarah Warner, by whom he had thirteen children, viz.: Jacob, Elijah; Daniel; Elizabeth, widow of Peter Brown; Ellen; Isreal; Clara; Adam; Margaret; Mary; Horace; Charles; and Allen."
