Obituary: Mr. Arnold E. Daniell, 78, of Port St. Joe, passed away Thursday afternoon in Gulf Pines Hospital. A native of Murphy, Ga., he served in the Army during WWII and was a survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port St. Joe, and was a member and past commander of the Willis V. Rowan American Legion Post No. 116. Survivors include his daughter, Reba Daniell King and husband Jim; grandson, Todd Ward; two great-grandchildren of Huntsville, Ala.; a stepson, Larry Davis and wife Margaret of Tallahassee; a step-grandson, Ryan Cole Davis of Panama City; a brother, James Daniell of Winchester, Tenn.; a sister, Nellie Dean Bruce of Atlanta, Ga.; a special nephew, Gene Bradley; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. E.D.T. Monday at the First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Pledger and Bro. Buddy Caswell. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. He will lie in state at the Comforter Funeral Home this evening from 6 until 8 p.m., and at the church for an hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
