HIGH POINT, May 18 – Rufus McCoy Carroll, 74 , of 400 Prospect Street, died at 11:30 a.m. today at High Point Memorial Hospital after an illness of one week.
Mr. Carroll was born in Stokes County Feb. 28, 1881, son of Wade and Nancy L. Morgan Carroll. He was a member of Ward Street Methodist Church. He was employed at Continental Furniture Company.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Grace Ola Carroll; one son, Philmore Carroll of Sedgefield and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wolfe of Japan.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word from daughter in Japan.

HIGH POINT – Funeral arrangements for Rufus McCoy Carroll, 74, of 400 Prospect Street, were incomplete this morning.
An employee of Continental Furniture Company, Mr. Carroll died Wednesday morning in a local hospital after a week's illness.
Funeral plans will be completed adter a daughter is notified at her home in Japan.

RITES TODAY – Funeral services for Rufus McCoy Carroll of High Point will be conducted at Ward Street Methodist Church there at 2.p. today by the Rev. F.E. Howard and the Rev. J.L. Raile. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park. Mr. Carroll died Wednesday.
