Veteran of the Civil War which he entered at a very young age as one of the young boys who volunteered for service.
Survived by his wife, Anna Theresa Theberge and his son, Wesley Hill George.
Husband of Anna Theresa Theberge (3rd wife).
He was married first to Sarah Maxwell Ashworth, and they had one daughter, Clara George, who died in infancy.
His second marriage was to Wilhelmina Pauline A. "Pauline" "Anna" Budnitz, with whom he had two sons, William C. George, who died in childhood, and Wesley Hill George, who died at age 66 in 1941.
Son of Elizabeth Horton and Israel L. George.
Brother of Clara George, Daniel Lewis George, Lillie George, and Wendell George.
Grandson of Daniel Horton and Betsey Lewis originally of Massachusetts, and later of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Painting contractor by trade, retired at age 74, and died four years later.
He spent most of his life in Philadelphia and lived in Trenton during his last decade. He worked as a painter in both cities.
