Isaac Newton Darnall was born in the village of Centerville, Iowa County, Wisconsin on April 3, 1849, and passed away at his home southwest of Springview, Nebraska Tuesday, November 10, 1936, at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 7 days.

When 1½ years old he moved with his parents to their homestead about 1½ miles east of Montfort, Wisconsin, where he grew to manhood. In the spring of 1873, he came west to Lincoln, Nebraska, living there about ten years. He was among the first pioneers to Keya Paha County, settling in 1883 on the home place between Springview and Meadville where he had lived since with the exception of three years’ residence in Washoe, Idaho.

While living near Lincoln he was married to Miss Marie E. Leavitt of Bethany, who passed away about one year after their marriage.

On November 12, 1881, he was married to Miss Mary Freeman, who preceded him in death February 20, 1924. To this union was born four children. Ethel Lillian, the youngest, died in infancy. Those living to mourn their loss are: One son, Philo Darnall of Blackfoot, Idaho, and two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Wentworth of Springview, Nebraska and Mrs. May Arnett of Bassett, Nebraska. He also leaves four grandchildren, Aubrey, Norris, Vada and Artice Wentworth, and two great grandchildren, Chester and John Wentworth.

He accepted Christ as his Savior in his early manhood and lived a conscientious Christian life to the time of his death.
