COLUMBIA — Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today for Mrs. Bertha Olive Blake Adams, 84, of Columbia, who die Saturday at Caldwell Parish Hospital after a long illness.

The Rev. Edwin House will officiate at First United Methodist Church with burial in Columbia Cemetery under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home here.

A member of the Methodist church since 1913, Mrs. Adams was past president and life member of Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a member of the Ft. Miro chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Monroe Camellia Society, the Louisiana State Art Festival Association. She has served as president of the Fifth District Dental Auxiliary, the Caldwell Parish Garden Club and was past chairman of the Caldwell Parish Chapter of Louisiana Heart Association.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. E. Leland Richardson of Baton Rouge; three sons, Maurice J. Adams, Dr. LeeRoy Adams Jr. and Dr. J. Blake Adams, all of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. B. E. Perkins Sr. of Baton Rouge; one brother, Verdie Pierce Blake of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Lee Adams, John Adams, Marty Adams, Blake Adams, Curtis M. Adams, Peter J. Adams, Lt. Col. Robert Moduski, Chet Traylor and Glen Richardson.
