YORK Jean O. "Betty" Lindquist, 88, formerly of Marquette, Michigan, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Manor Care Health Services North, with her devoted family by her side. Jean was born May 18, 1918, in Marquette, Mich., to the late Joseph and Melina (Morin) Marier. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Charles P. Lindquist also of Marquette. She was a loving mother of her "five girls", Linda Gowdy, Marianne Hieber, Sue Gallagher, Jeanne Lindquist, and Joyce Zupko. She had 10 grandchildren, Anna, Keith, Ben, Tocatta, Paula, Sarah, Sophia, Zakary, Eric and Lindy. She was great-grandmother to Mickey, Livia and Dylan. She is survived by two sisters, Fern Baker and Mary Ann Douglas, both of Marquette. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Beatrice Marier, Hazel Saastominen, Kathleen Hultgren; and three brothers, Harold, Lester and Werner Marier. A family service and burial will be held at a later date in Marquette, Mich.
