Thomas Franklin Locklear, Sr., 85, of 16 Mango Road died Saturday morning at a Rome hospital.
Mr. Locklear was born in Floyd County, Aug. 10, 1906. He was a long-tiime resident of Floyd County and was of the Baptist faith. Before retirement, he was employed by the Playtex Company as a mechanic.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Lucy Elizabeth Odom Hicks Locklear, Rome; a son Thomas Franklin Locklear, Jr. of Smyrna Beach, Florida; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon Monday at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Interment will be at East View Cemetery.
