JOHN FRANKLIN DUFF
John Franklin Duff, 85, of Bellefontaine died Thursday, July 20, 2006,
at The Gables in Marysville.
He was a veteran of the Army during WW II and was a member of the BPEO
#132, the Harold Kerr Post of the American Legion Post #173 and D.A.V.
He was co-owner of A&I Supply Company from 1968 to 1985 and had attended
Bliss Business College in Columbus. He had also worked for Beatty Motor
Sales and the Howard Supply Company.
He was born on Jan. 25, 1921, in Belle Center to Joseph L. and Edna
Flickenger Duff. Both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death
was his wife, Mary Patricia Dick, whom he married on April 1, 1945.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Duff,
and a sister, Martha Ritchey.
He is survived by: two daughters, Linda (Steve) Davisson of Marysville
and Margaret (Gary) Fergus of Bellefontaine; a son, David (Julie) Duff
of Mosinee, Wis.; two sisters, Anna Mae Prater of Florida and Joan
Zahller of Belle Center; three grandchildren, John and Jeff Fergus and
Shannon Sedgwick; a great-grandchild, Haley Fergus; and a sister-in-law,
Gloria Duff of Belle Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Eichholtz
Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with the Rev. William Zeller presiding.
Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center with the
Logan County Honor Guard conducting military services.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #173.
