Anna Mae Prater, 94, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011.

She was born January 1, 1917, to the late Joseph and Edna Duff in Belle Center, Ohio. Mrs. Prater was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church, where she played the organ for 30-plus years and was the past president of the United Methodist Women. She and her late husband, Tom, were the past owners and operators of the Flamingo Shoppe in St. Andrews, also, she was a member of the Lion's Auxiliary.

Mrs. Prater was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Thomas S. Prater.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Prater and wife, Jane, of Panama City, Fla., Jerry Prater and wife, Mary Jo, of Warner Robins, Ga., Ron Prater and wife, Linda, of Panama City Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of the life she lived will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Southerland Family Funeral Home, Panama City.
