Bascom Eugene Hall

Bascom Eugene Hall, 74, of Anderson, died Aug. 25, 1999 at his residence, following an extended illness.

He was married on Oct. 17, 1947 to Jewell B. Killian. He was employed for 35 years as a pipefitter for Indiana Gas in Anderson. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and participated in the Tokyo Bay surrender.

Survivors include a son, Murray (wife Judith) Hall of Lithonia, Ga.; one grandson, Dillon Hall; three brothers, Ron Hall of Rogersville, Ala; Harold Hall of Elizabethtown, Tenn, and Graham Hall of Christiansburg, Va.; one sister, Billie Coffey of Jonesboro, Tenn, and a sister-in-law, Sally Byrd of Mempnis, Tenn.

Bascom was preceded in death by his parents, Emroy Virgil and Vernie Grace (Collier) Hall, and his wife, Jewell B. (Killian) Hall on Nov 25, 1995.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and will be conducted by the Rev. John Hackney of South Anderson United Methodist Church.

Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
