Mrs. Genevieve Kirkland, 21, until recently of Omaha, died Saturday morning at her home in Philadelphia as the result of burns when her clothing caught fire from a gas heater, according to word reaching Omaha Saturday night.
She was the wife of Waldron Kirkland, who moved to Philadelphia five weeks ago. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. J. A. La Chapelle, 917 Homer street. Two brothers and five sisters also survive.
Mrs. J. A. LaChapelle left for Philadelphia as soon as word of her daughter's condition reached her. She was with her during her last hours in Miserecodia Hospital. The remains were brought to Omaha, arriving here Monday night. The funeral was held from St. Patrick's church Thursday morning. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre.
