Carlton (Jerry) Carlson passed away Wed.April 3, 1991 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale at the age of 62. He was born July 13, 1928 in Hazen, ND to Oscar and Phoebe Carlson. He graduated from Portland High School.
He married Viola Weller of Dazey, ND June 15, 1950. They came to the Chisago Lakes areain 1968 and have lived at the Stonegate Trailer Court since 1972. Jerry was the manager of the Chisago County State Bank until ill health forced his retirement. He also worked for the Chisago County Nursing Service as their bookkeeper. Jerry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing cards.
Jerry is survived by his wife Viola, 2 sons, Craig Carlson of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeffrey Carlson of Brooklyn Park, MN, 2 daughters, Candace Carlson of Blaine, MN, Kathy Carlson, Anoka, MN, Merland Carlson of Page, ND, grandson David, granddaughters Cari and Raelene. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roland.
Funeral services were held Friday April 5 at Chisago Lakes Lutheran Church in Center City with Dr.Dale Peterson officiating. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery.
