Nancy Mallissey Ellen Ball married John Young on 28 March 1889 at Randolph County, Alabama. Ten children were born to this union, three children preceded their mother in death.

In 1889, the family was living at Randolph County, Alabama. By 1895, they had moved to Morrison, Randolph County, Alabama. One of the daughters was born at Wedowee, Randolph County, Alabama according to the family Bible. In 1899, the family was living at Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. By 1904, newspaper accounts record the birth of a daughter at DeLeon, Comanche County, Texas. Young County newspapers record the birth of a son, in 1905 at Bunger, Texas. By 1908, the family was living at Gorman, Eastland County, Texas.

Mrs. J.L. Young passed away at the home of a daughter on Grove Street. She was buried in the family plot by the side of her husband. Rev. B.A. Roark officiated the services at Maples Funeral Home.

Mrs. Young joined the Methodist Church in 1888 and led a devoted Christian life.

Survived by seven children - John Young, George Young, Mrs. Mary Belyeu, Tom Young, Mrs. Martha HIlley, Mrs. Sarah Van Hemert, Mrs. Sindie Corley; 51 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Young spend part of her life living in the G.M. Young home in the Tonk Valley Community.

daughter - Mary Elizabeth Belyeu, wife of George Washington Belyeu. Mary married George on 12 September 1909 at Graham, Texas. Mary and George had a daughter, Anna Mae Belyeu. She married Thomas Claudel Snider on 26 June 1937 at Graham, Texas.
