Mrs. Felty resided for a long time at 70 S Michigan Avenue, South Bend, but last spring was afflicted with a complication of infirmities incident to old age, and then went to live with her only daughter, Mrs. Anna Light, at 917 East Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, where she was ill all summer.
Mrs. Felty was born in Jonestown, Pa., on December 19, 1839, and had lived in South Bend for many years. She was united in marriage to Donald [sic] Bedger about 55 years ago and he died 20 years later. She afterwards married John Felty, who died eight years ago. Mrs. Felty was a member of the Ladies Relief Corps. She leaves besides her daughter, a sister, Mrs. Kate Carmany, wife of Cyrus Carmany, of 628 Canal street, Independent Borough. Her maiden name was Louser, being a member of the Johnstown and Fredericksburg family of that name. She was known to a considerable number of the older folks here and in the northern part of the county and her death is deeply deplored.
