Funeral services for Mr. Earl Beshea, age 85, will be held Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Springbranch Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Britt officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Bailey Mortuary.
Mr. Beshea was born September 8, 1924 in Springhill, LA to Willie and Elsie Powell Beshea and passed away July 29, 2010 in Springhill, LA. He was a resident of Taylor, AR, a member of Springbranch Baptist Church, an U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from International Paper Company, Container Division, after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Beshea; children, Deborah Wood and husband, Jack of Castor, LA, Patsy Hood and husband, Danny of Saretpa, LA, Willie Beshea of Taylor, AR; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Darrell Beshea of Sarepta, LA, W.D. Beshea and wife, Wanda of Shreveport, LA, Willie Beshea, Jr. of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Loraine Branton of Shreveport, LA; step-children, Joanie McClendon and husband, Mike of Stamps, AR and Larry Jones and wife, Debra of Orange City, FL.
Mr. Beshea was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Kathryn Bullard Beshea; daughter, Bonnie Sue; second wife, Lucille Beshea; brothers, Mack Beshea, Carl Beshea, Clarence Beshea and sisters, Annie Rea Bullard, Dorless Murray and Bobbie Rae Streetman.
Pall bearers will be Ramey Gryder, Jason Hood, Raymond Thomas, Matt Beshea, Justin Wood and Jeremy Beshea.
