"The LaFayette Sun"- November 27, 1907:

In Memoriam.

It becomes our sad duty to chronicle the death of our son and brother, Dolphus Adair, who peacefully fell asleep in Jesus on September 7th, 1907.
He was sick only a few days, and during that time he suffered pain beyond expression, and all that skilled physicians and kind and tender hands could do was done, but death could not be stayed, for God, in his all wise providence, saw fit to remove this dear son from his abode on earth to the temple above, "Not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
Dolphus leaves a mother, father, brothers and sisters and other relatives and friends to mourn his sad departure. He will be sadly missed by the family. We deeply sympathize with them in this great hour of trouble but hope they will be comforted by the strong arm of our Heavenly father, who is too wise to err, or too good to be unkind.
He was about 20 years of age, His remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Macedonia on the day following his death, the funeral services being conducted by the pastor, Elder J. T. Satterwhite.

Peace to his ashes.
Little deeds of faith and love
Make a home for you above.

- A friend.
