Death of Mrs. R. R. Aycock

Another good woman has passed away in the death of Mrs. R. R. Aycock. She died at the family home eight miles northwest of LaFayette last Monday night. She has surviving her to mourn her loss the husband and eight children, two girls and six boys. Before her marriage, she was Miss Bailey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bailey. A devoted wife and mother, a kind neighbor and friend, a consecrated Christian, she leaves many relatives to mourn her death. The funeral was held at Macedonia on yesterday afternoon and was conducted by Rev A. C. Yeargan.

In Memoriam

The Holy Scriptures declare, "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth". This benediction may be truly spoken of Mrs. R. R. Aycock, who passed over to the Other Side on the 3rd day February 1919. Her body was laid away to await the Resurrection Day in the cemetery at Macedonia on the following day, after a funeral service conducted by Rev A. C. Yeargan in the presence of a large company of relatives and friends. The deceased before her marriage was Miss Susie E. Bailey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Bailey. She was married in May 1901, to Mr. R. R. Aycock. To this union there were given eight children - five sons and three daughters. Mrs. Aycock united with the (Primitive Baptist) church at Emmaus in 1904 under the ministry of Elder W. B. Morgan, and as long as she lived was a consecrated Christian. A most devoted daughter, wife and mother, a kind and sympathetic neighbor and friend, her death has brought much sorrow to many hearts. May the quotation from the Word of God at the beginning of this memorial be to them a great comfort. She has gone to the land of the blessed, to the many mansion home of the Father in Heaven. While her precious body rests in the quiet grave, the glorified spirit "walks in the Garden of God." There will come someday a happy reunion when there will be no more parting. May the bereaved receive divine help to bear their sorrow, is the prayer of the writer of these lines.
