Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 1, 1943. Last Rites Held For Marie Bailey
Funeral rites were held at Leesville Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon for Marie Bailey, 13 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Bailey of Bebe. The young girl passed away Saturday at 5:15 p.m. at Holmes Hospital after a brief illness.
Interment was in Leesville cemetery, Tadlock Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. J. M. Risinger conducted the services.
Marie was in the sixth grade at Bebe school. She was born at Monthalia, later moving with her parents to Bebe.
Surviving are the parents and nine brothers and sisters. The sisters are Mrs. Esther Richter of San Antonio and Mable and Glenna at home. Three of the brothers are at home, Hulan, Winston, and Durwood. Of the other three brothers in the services, one Sgt. Cecil Bailey of Hunter Field, Savannah Ga., was able to attend the rites. Pfc. Lester A. Bailey arrived from Camp Edwards too late for the funeral, Cpl. Boyd Bailey is in the army signal corps in Porto Rico.
