Services for James William Hamlin, 80, were held at the Seymour Methodist Church with Uel D. Crosby, pastor, officiating. The second service was held at the Sylvester Methodist Church with Rev. Armstrong, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Hamlin's first wife and the mother of all of his children preceded him in death.

In November, 1937, James William Hamlin married Mrs. Ann Pennington.

Survived by his wife; children - J.C. Hamlin, Mrs. Lee Hefner, R.D Hamlin, M.T. Hamlin, Sidney Hamlin, and L.E. Hamlin; 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchidlren.

Mr. and Mrs. Hamlin moved to Baylor County and farmed in the Mabelle community. Later the family left for a number of years and farmed at Sylvester when his first wife died. Mr. Hamlin decided to move back to Seymour. Mr. Hamlin was converted in young manhood and united with the Methodist Church.
