Daughter of Sidney Clay Jones and Elizabeth Ivey/Ivy, Martha Maleta Jones married James William Hamlin in Morgan County, MO, 02 Aug 1885. By 1900 the Hamlin family had moved to TX.
Reasonable speculation suggests that Martha Maleta was named for Maleta (Hildebrand) Denny, wife of Robert Brewer Denny. Robert and Sidney Clay Jones were cousins. In his Civil War diary, Robert B. Denny indicated that he wrote to Sidney Jones.
