Mrs. Loyd Pitts Dead
Mrs. Lloyd Pitts, 924 Commercial St., died Sunday afternoon in Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Lora Bell Anderson, daughter of Pleasant and Henrietta Barnes Anderson, was born Jan. 6th, 1884, at Blakesburg, Iowa. She married Lloyd Pitts, Aug. 15th, 1903, in Rightman, Iowa, and they came to Emporia in 1938. Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Zelma H. Pitts, of the hone; a son, Claude, Westwego, La.; a twin sister, Mrs. Marion Norman, Kansas City, Mo.; a nephew, J. Con Van Cleve, 1223 West St.; and a niece Mrs. Calvin Cowan, 127 south Constitution St. Mrs. Pitts was a member of the Lutheran Church.
